Greetings mi lionz, if you missed it, yes, you missed a great show! Anguillan reggae sensation Omari Banks paid a special visit to Columbia,Md. to share his fresh batch of reggae with his fans at The Soundry! Special guest opener, me, iRon Lion set the night off with my 3 piece unit featuring Shango Roots and Kevin Talbot! I was able to attend the soundcheck and I knew right away that this was gonna be a hot show. Omari’s approach to everything and the venue staff, made me feel like I want to be in the music business all over again. Travelling musicians from New York and elsewhere, Omari and his band members were very humble and focused on the mission at hand. In no time the venue started to fill up and the staff at The Soundry was ready to take on the challenge, I grade them A+++! They made it easy for us to play to a crowd that was totally tuned in from the 1st song to the last! Never a dull moment, this was a special night to remember for sure! Sweet reggae music passing through the sound system, people dancing in a venue that was elegant! Prior to this invite I had never heard of Omari Banks but I’m so glad this came my way! If you have never heard him you should make a point to! He brings a fresh bag of reggae music that is original in a time of nuff imitation and confusion. I encourage you to check out Omari Banks Music and also spread the word that Omari Banks and iRon Lion is a hot show to book! One Love massive!
